WHEREAS, Virginia career development practitioners serve across the Commonwealth in a variety of settings and are committed to helping individuals increase self-understanding of their abilities, interests, values, and goals; and

WHEREAS, the Virginia Career Development Association (VCDA), a division of the National Career Development Association (NCDA), supports career development practitioners to obtain and maintain certifications, credentials, and continuing education to best serve those seeking career assistance; and

WHEREAS, Virginia career development practitioners champion the mission and vision of NCDA to "Inspire and empower individuals to achieve their career and life goals"; and

WHEREAS, Virginia career development practitioners strive to acknowledge the worth, dignity, potential, and uniqueness of every individual; and

WHEREAS, career development assistance is a community partnership effort involving the education system, the home and family structure, business industry, and a variety of community agencies and organizations; and
